Shop on break...

Hi everyone.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had a super busy and tiring weekend. I didn't stamp this weekend. My little sister graduated from college with her degree in Health Education so I spent the weekend with my family. On Saturday, we had a picnic at the park to celebrate her accomplishments and then attended her commencement ceremony on Sunday. Boy, we got lucky. The weather forecast showed that it was going to rain on Sunday but it didn't. It was actually really hot. I didn't upload those wonderful photos we took so I will have to share it with at another time.

But, I wanted to stop by quickly and share a little news with you guys that my etsy shop is currently on break. I'm in the process of re-organizing and re-listing my cards. I'm anticipating that my shop will be available again sometime in August 2011. So, please check back here for more updates. Thanks again to those of you who have supported me in the past. And, I really apologize for those of you who are awaiting my uploads. I will inform you once the shop is available again.

So, before I leave you tonight, I just want to share with you a few cards I made today while I rested at home with the boys. I'm off to work again tomorrow so probably no more stamping for a couple more days. I'm still currently working on scrapbooking projects so I've put aside card making for a few days. I just pulled out some old stamps I had purchased before but never used yet along with some of my favorite stamps and paper pads. I will not be listing products used since it's late now but if you want to know the products used, please feel free to e-mail me or comment me here and I will let you know. Here are the three cards I made today.

I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I enjoy creating them! Thanks for stopping by! Talk to you later!

Classes updates and news

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a nice week. I've been so busy lately. More than usual. I have several projects going on right now. But, I just wanted to stop by and give you a peek at all the goodies we made last night at my party favor class. As I mentioned in my last post, we made five cute party favors. Here are the projects. Click on image for larger view.

1. Father's Day Shirt Goodies Bag

2. Tea Bag Holder

3. Fancy Favor Goodies Bag

4. Hand Sanitizer Holder

5. Clear Box Goodies Bag

I also wanted to share some news with you guys regarding my future classes and plans. This is actually my last major class, meaning that you probably will never see me do more than two projects in one class ever again. The reason why I have been doing five projects in the last two classes was because I wanted everyone to get the most out of my class and I wanted everyone to have endless fun. It's a good thing that I prepped everything for everyone ahead of time so we could get everything done within the two hours of class. But, I'm finding that it can also be overwhelming for some people and I want everyone to have a great experience stamping with me. But, I also realized that doing so much classes is taking away from doing what I enjoy most which is free stamping. I love to sit down and just stamp anything I want and create something beautiful. All I've been doing lately is endless prepping and planning.

So, I am taking a little break from classes. In fact, May 31st will be my last class, taught at home. It is my Scrapbooking class in honor of National Scrapbooking Month. I have limited the class size to 10 because of space. So far, class is filling up fast so please reserve your seat today if you plan on coming. Please be courteous and only reserve if you plan on coming. I really appreciate at least 5 days notice if you plan on cancelling class so I can offer your seat to someone else who wants to come. Thank you so much for those who have attended my classes before in the past and those who are my regular attendees. It is you gals who makes it worthwhile for everything I do. I work very hard coming up with ideas and planning and prepping for a class. I just hope to make it fun for you and hopefully inspire you to let your creativity out.

I'm sorry for those of you who didn't get a chance to attend my classes because of your schedule or for whatever reason. I am however, considering to offer you a monthly kit which contains all the materials for a certain projects that I create each month. The only thing not contained in the kit is adhesive, tools, and stamped images. You will get the papers, embellishments, and ribbon in each kit. Anyone can order them for a short period of time each month. After a new kit is released, the old kit will be retired. Kits will be purchased directly from my blog here. Each kit will be different. When the kit arrives, you will just have to assemble the projects together. Pictures and instructions will be e-mailed to anyone who purchases the kits. If it contains templates, you will get them as well. So, instead of physically being in my class, you will have all the materials to make it yourself. I'm very excited about this project. If I get enough feedback from everyone and if I get enough people interested, I will consider doing this project effective August 2011. So, in the mean time, I will continue to create projects and post them here to share with you guys. Please leave me comments and feedback. Trust me, I read all your comments and feedback and I appreciate everyone's comments. Thanks for all your support and keep stamping. I'll see you guys next time. Take care.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week. I apologize for posting this so late. I just wanted to stop by and give you a quick preview of the five projects we will be creating this upcoming class on Wednesday May 18, 2011. Yes, you heard me correct. We will be making five projects.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi everyone. I know I'm a day late at posting this but I just wanted to wish all those lovely ladies in my life a wonderful and beautiful mother's day filled with happiness and joy. I spent the lovely day with my mother and sisters. We had a barbecue and salad and cake. It was so nice. When I came home that evening, I found this sitting on my desk.

It was a beautiful fruit cake and pink roses with a card.
This is the front and inside of the card. It was signed by my boys. Such a sweet thing. It really made my day!

Here are the roses upclose in a vase. It's beautiful. My oldest son Keon picked the color. It was so sweet of the boys. They really are charming. Really made me feel special and loved.

So, before I leave you today, I'd like to share two Mother's Day cards I made last night with you. I hope you enjoy them and let me know if you need the supply list for them. Thanks and take care. I'll be back in a couple of days so show you more ideas and insprations. Please RSVP for the workshop on Wed 05-11-11 if you haven't already.

June 2011 Card Swap

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I've been busy as usual. I spent part of today creating cards for my very first card swap group. There are eight of us so I created eight cards. The swap is for the month of June. So, last week, we were e-mail the theme for June's swap. The theme was anything from the Summer Mini Catalog or 4th of July. Before beginning, I played around with all the stamp sets from the Summer Mini Catalog. I have several of them and I've already been playing around with them as you probably saw in the last post.

Here is my first attempt at this card.

I think it turned out alright. I love the colors and I love the layout. So, after several tests, I decided to go with this card. So, here is my set up and supplies on my desk.
Stampin' Up! June 2011 Card Swap

nail Adhesive
Paper Snips
Big Shot
Texture Impressions - Flower Garden (from Summer Mini p. 24)

Here is the finish cards. All eight of them. It was fun but kind of painful cutting out all the flowers. Thank goodness for the paper snips.

Here is a close up of the card front.

And here is the inside of the card. It looks plain but it's actually embossed with the Flower Garden Texture Impressions Embossing Folder using the Big Shot. I love how beautiful it looks.

So, what do you guys think? Was it worth it? Did it turn out okay? I like it. I think I like the original design better but this one was pretty good too! Card swaps are so much fun. I'm so excited. I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with. I'll have to take photos to show you guys when I get them. I will be sending or delivering mine hopefully by next week although they are not due until June 15. Then we will be getting everyone else's sometime towards the end of June. How exciting!

Well, that's it for now. I'll be back tomorrow to bring you more inspirations and ideas. Have a good day!

Summer Mini and More Inspirations

Hi everyone! I'm back again to show you what I've been creating with the new stamps from the Summer Mini Catalog and other things that I have been working on. I apologize but I'm in a hurry in posting today so I don't have supply list but they are made from using Stampin' Up! Products. All stamp images are copy right from Stampin' Up! If you need supply list for a particular card, please let me know and I will more than happy look it up for you. Also, I apologize if the quality is not great. Again, I took it with my iPhone so it's not so sharp.

This is not from the Summer Mini but one of the cards I created this week for fun.

This is a stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog. I love this stamp set. I sponged the background and used the blender pen and wonder crayons for this card.

A friend asked me to create tea bag favors for her sister's tea party so I came up with these two designs. They are tea bags holder. This is the first design. The color theme was yellow, purple, and green. This is actually the second design I made. I gave the first one to her as a sample. The only difference is that the ribbon color was green and it has a different sentiment stamped on the front. It was a thank you sentiment instead.

This is the inside of the holder. This one holds two tea bags perfectly.

This is the second design. It's smaller than the first design. Again, this one is also different from the original one I created for her. I gave her the original one as a sample. I should have taken pictures to compare but I was in a hurry and forgot. The only difference is that the image and sentiment in the front is different and I used the itty bitty tag punch and attached it to the ribbon. If I get a chance, I will create the same one for you guys to see again.

This is the inside of the holder. This one holds only one tea bag.

I got so creative that I decided to make this hot coco slider holder also. I thought it would also make a nice party favor. This is the front of the holder. It doesn't stand on its own but is not very bulk as well.

Here is how it looks like when you slide the hot coco out. It can easily slide back in as well. It's such a neat idea. I think it turned out really good.

Here's another card made using a stamp from the Summer Mini Catalog. I used the blender pen to color in the vase and flowers. I love how beautiful it turned out. It doesn't look that great in photo but it's beautiful in real life.

I was playing around with this new embossing folder and decided to create this card on the left. I used the wonder crayon and the aqua painter. I love how subtle and beautiful it turned out. But then, while I was working on another project, it fell from my shelf and hit the ink. See the black smear in the top right hand corner. I was so bummed out that I decided to make another one on the left hand here. But, the colors did not turn out as well as I liked it so I made it to look different. Oh well, I'm still going to keep the smear one because I like it a lot.

Here's another card using a stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog as well. I used the blender pen to color the image. I don't like it that much. Don't know why. But, oh well. That happens to me all the time.

This is a card that I created for my little sister. She is graduating in two weeks with her BA degree. I'm so proud of her. I have this wonderful quote stamp that I adore so much so I used it on the card. I didn't show you guys the inside of the card but it has the similar design in the inside along with a pocket to hold money and a nice message. I think she will love this card as much as I enjoy creating it for her.

This is a up close look at the butterfly on this card. I used dazzling diamond glitter on it and some pearls. It's so pretty.

Okay, the last thing that I wanted to show you guys is the party favor projects that I have been working on for my party favor class on May 18. So many people has asked me to hold a party favor class so I scheduled it for May 18. We will be creating all party favor projects for this class. I have been working on several ideas and projects but not sure yet which project we will be creating in class. Here are a few ideas. If you RSVP for this class and like any of these ideas for class, let me know. I'm open to suggestions. If you are in the area (Sacramento, CA) and have not RSVP for this class, there is still a couple of spots left so make sure you RSVP for this class. Class fee is $35 and includes all the supplies and goodies.

Okay, so here are some of the projects. These favors are filled with candy but it can be used for any occasions or filled with anything.

Well, this is all the images I photograph for now. I'm still working on more party favor ideas. I will be using dies as well so I'll post pictures as soon as I can get a chance. Keep stamping and I'll see you guys real soon.
